Company Profile

Formed in 1983, David Jensen Associates, Inc. (DJA) is a highly specialized, award-winning land planning consultancy, located in Denver, Colorado. DJA projects vary in size, scope and location, from Hawaii to the Philippines; from California to New York; from large-scale resort and golf course community planning, to small-scale empty nester infill projects.

In the process of designing a community, major considerations for DJA include letting the natural features of the site guide the land planning process, as well as balancing consumer needs and preferences. However, several other factors are also important in the community design process, including:

• Creating projects with the flexibility to respond quickly to the marketplace
• Designing communities which allow clients to cut development costs
• Creating places for people; designing communities which allow people to work, shop and enjoy recreation all within close proximity to home

DJA offers a wide range of community design and planning services including:

• Site Analysis: DJA assembles the information required to establish an appropriate sustainable master plan for the property.
• Concept Planning: Alternatives for land use are explored during concept planning. The client can choose the alternative that works best for their vision of the property.
• Development Proforma Analysis: Based upon financial information, we can assist in the preparation of preliminary land development pro formas.
• Community Imaging: The character of the community is created from the community imaging process. A list of community elements including parks and recreational amenities is formulated to generate direction for development of community character.
• Processing: DJA's staff is experienced in working with public officials and neighborhood groups. We understand the importance of the DJA staff assisting clients with public agenda, neighborhood meetings and representation before public hearings.
• Computer Aided Design: The DJA staff are all proficient in computer applications including, AutoCAD, LandCAD, MapInfo and G.I.S. We use these tools in every community we design.
• G.P.S.: DJA uses the Global Positioning Satellite system to obtain real-time data for the most accurate site mapping.
