The development goal of Bailey’s Grove was to communicate turn-of-the century charm, relaxation and peace.  The community plan supports this theme with narrow winding roads to encourage slower driving and appreciation of the natural landscape, homes with porches that invite sitting, and tree lined streets lit with old fashioned street lights.

Bailey’s Grove is a demonstration project for the Environmental and Development Committee of the Grand Rapids Homeowners’ Association and the Metropolitan Council’s Blueprint Commission on creating livable communities.

Bailey’s Grove was awarded the Building with Trees Award of Excellence.
